FLOATING GARDENS OF XOCHIMILCO

Over a thousand years ago, the Aztecs built a series of floating garden plots to grow and cultivate food. Today, these chinampas are still maintained and planted with beautiful flowers and shrubs. Visitors ride in trajinera boats, much like in Venice, to experience the floating gardens in Mexico City.
