OLD STATE HOUSE

Latin School

The Old State House was the backdrop of many important events during the American Revolution. It was here that, from the balcony, the Declaration of Independence was read publicly for the first time. Celebrating their newfound freedom after defeating the British, Bostonians tore down the original lion and unicorn statues that once topped this famous building and burned these common symbols of British authority.

Though the original statues were destroyed in 1776, replicas were reinstalled in 1901. It was over 100 years later that a letter was found, indicating that a time capsule was hidden in the head of the lion. The capsule was recently removed from the statue, and a peculiar copy of the Declaration of Independence was found inside. Examine this historic document and uncover a passphrase that will earn you your next token.
